SPOKE LEADER
Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca
Spoke 2 uses technological innovations to detect early relapse indicators in chronic diseases. Artificial intelligence (AI) driven devices and platforms will be generated allowing real-time monitoring of patient conditions and environmental hazards, and prediction of events potentially dangerous for people.
Virtual reality (VR) and smart-assisted devices (e.g. virtual environment and digital motion capture)
Technologies to monitor cardiovascular diseases (e.g. devices for performing wearable ECG on T-shirts and AI-assisted platforms for patient assessment)
Intelligent medical devices and platforms (In/Ga biosensors) integrated into functionalized printed patches and biomaterials to detect representative biomarkers (e.g. cholesterol, PCR, glucose)
Cure points based on multi-functional colloidal nanoparticles (conjugated nanoparticles) and DNA-omics to detect and quantify bio environmental and human hazards (microbial pathogens)
State-of-the-art lights - systems for cleaning environments contaminated with microbial pathogens
They are dedicated to environmental control (ambulatory and home care centers) and focused respectively on the implementation of home care routes and on quality control of care centers in case of biological risk.
They are dedicated to generate and collect patient data to maximise and make available innovative methods for early diagnosis. Activities related to innovative therapies for orphan tumours will integrate telemedicine methodologies from the outset, providing for the possibility of telemonitoring (tele-follow-up) after treatment.
